At Kingsview Optical we can offer, a fully integrated mechanical and optical custom design process using the latest software from Zemax, Solidworks and Essential Macleod. We are also pleased to say that our optical design practices have been fully audited to the latest ISO 9001:2015.
Kingsview manufactures optical lenses for every type of requirement from micro lenses 1mm diameter up to 200mm diameter lenses. We have recently put down £250K investment down for a brand new optical CNC generator and polisher from Optotech in Germany that arrived in November 2017. This is major step forward and should really enhance our capabilities as well as showing our commitment to manufacturing first rate precision optics here in the UK.
Kingsview Optical has extensive coating facilities covering all aspects of vacuum coating and optical thin films at our site in the UK. This includes multilayer broadband antireflective coatings to full mirrors. The coating designs are done onsite using Essential Macleod design software.
At Kingsview Optical we can manufacture custom graticules through photolithography or liftoff. Applications of graticules we can do for you include resolution charts, counting chambers, alignment devices. It is possible to produce graticules on a range of optical components. With on site optical coating we can manufacture graticules with different materials and AR coating options
At Kingsview Optical we have full metalwork machining capability in house with 2 CNC mills and a CNC lathe for turning jobs. We do have a 4th axis available on one of our CNC mills for more complex parts with CAD/CAM software allowing us to manufacture parts from CAD models. Having metalwork machining capability allows us to produce components and assemblies that have been designed in house quickly and efficiently without relying on third party suppliers.
At Kingsview Optical over the years we have experience of developing production assembly lines to take prototype design into large scale production. This involves developing methods, procedures and inspection plans to ensure quality standards are met but also the parts are made in efficient time and cost. The largest production run we have done was for the defence industry with 22,000 units manufactured here at our site in Rye, East Sussex.
