Kingsview Optical is a UK precision optics company based on Harbour Road in Rye, East Sussex. For 30 years we've designed and made precision optics: lenses, prisms, windows, mirrors, filters and graticules. We also make the coatings and assemblies that go with them, for engineers and research teams in defence, aerospace, medical, scientific and industrial work.

From Lens Polishing to a Complete Optics Facility
Kingsview began in 1996 as a specialist lens polishing business. We have grown into a fully integrated optical manufacturing facility. Today we can take an optical design from concept to a finished, tested, coated and assembled component, without the project ever leaving our site in East Sussex.
Most UK precision optics suppliers are either distributors, who hold stock and fill standard orders, or design consultancies, who pass manufacturing to third parties. Kingsview is neither. We design, manufacture, coat and assemble in-house, and that matters to our customers.
Our designers work in Zemax a two-minute walk from the CNC lines that will make the parts. They check tolerances against real manufacturing experience, not just simulations. They choose glass based on how it actually polishes and what the reject rates are. The result is designs that can be manufactured, and components that perform as specified.
