After Envin Scientifics closure we have acquired their Sputtering coating chamber and IP of their optical filters and coatings. This will be a big step forward in being to offer higher complexity thin film coatings and compliments our EB gun vacuum coaters.

Further to the benefits of using the Trioptic Optisurf LTM it was decided to invest in the Opticentric. The Opticentric is the industry standard for lens centration measurement and will help us achieve the highest standards in lens manufacture.

Kingsview has added the the Trioptic Optisurf LTM to its metrology tools. It is a non contact method using low coherence interferometry which can achieve accuracy of less than 1 micron. Using this in production combined with CNC lens manufacture the highest accuracy can be achieved routinely for lens thickness.

Kingsview is pleased to announce further investment in its CNC lens manufacturing capability. This time the Optotech 30 line was bought to complement the already established 80 line. We have invested in a brand new XYZ CT65 turning centre. This will improve efficiency of our metalwork production. This turning centre should push us on to the next level in optomechanics work further cementing our place as a one stop solution in optics in the UK.
